Why My Bella Health?
I moved to Portland, Oregon in 1973 to attend Lewis and Clark College. I transitioned Portland State University when I fully understood that my student loans were not going to cover the remaining expenses at the college.
I graduated with honors from PSU, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in clinical psychology. Following my undergraduate studies, I felt a calling to practice chiropractic medicine.
Graduating with honors in 1985, I went on to found the Holistic Health Clinic in Beaverton. This is a multidisciplinary healing space that over the years has offered a holistic approach to healing. Currently, there are two chiropractors, two acupuncturists, three naturopaths, and three licensed massage therapists.
Post doctoral studies included:
- Certification in Clinical Nutrition
- Board Certified to rate Permanent Impairment and Disability
- Board Eligibility in Chiropractic Orthopedics
- Board eligibility in Chiropractic Sports Medicine
- T’ai Chi Chih Teacher, Accredited in 2009
- QiGong Instructor Certification by the National QiGong Association
- Pet Therapy Certification through Pet Partners with Tommy, our Schipperke dog
In 1972 I sustained a number of injuries, including a concussion in a near fatal car accident. Subsequently, with a very active lifestyle, multiple concussions and hits to my head resulted. As is common when these types of head injure accumulate, the final blow occurred in 2017. This last concussion made it extremely difficult to fulfill my role as owner, clinical director and practicing chiropractor at the clinic.
I am developing My Bella Health to facilitate my healing from my traumatic brain injury and to facilitate vitality for my friends on Planet Earth.
