Your Personal Invitation

I invite you to learn T’ai Chi Chih, a mindfulness moving meditation. A notable feature of this yin form of T’ai Chi is that it is easy to learn.

T’ai Chi Chih is a series of 19 movements and 1 pose that together make up a meditative form of movement. Practitioners experience physical, personal, and spiritual health benefits. At the completion of the ten-week class, students will be able to do the 19 graceful movements and one pose.

Do you suffer from from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)? Please join me to help ease your symptoms. I also have a TBI and understand how difficult it can be to learn new things.

I have had the benefit of moving to Dr. Box’s guidance and can attest to her skills at facilitating Tai Chi Chih. I’ve done Tai Chi Chih with Bella for many years now. She leads a wonderful practice. She inspires me to be present and mindful and to relax into the rocking motion of each movement.

Thank you for the opportunity to endorse your work in the practice of T’ai Chi Chih. I was experiencing severe left hip and lower back pain due to an old injury. Physical therapy just wasn’t getting results. During the fall of 2019 I decided to seek additional help through movement and took 6 months of T’ai Chi Chih instruction from a local certified instructor. I had always admired the graceful, purposeful movements and technique of mindfulness of T’ai Chi Chih. The pandemic got in the way last year but I was able to find Zoom meetings and a retreat.

Meeting Bella and the other certified instructors was transformative. She is a dedicated, compassionate and was very happy to embrace the world of virtual practice and teaching. T’ai Chi Chih has given me a sense of community, never having to give up a community of like companions in practice. The movements taught have helped me understand control of my body not only for pain relief but for my over all well being.

11 years ago Marcella Box trained me to become a T’ai Chi Chih instructor. Marcella is always careful and positive in her instruction. T’ai Chi Chih has helped me in many ways be positive and cheerful. When we were all forced to isolate due to Covid a group of T’ai Chi Chih participants decided to regularly meet on Zoom for daily practice and Marcella is a major part of this. She is a blessing.

A Moving Meditation that Can Be Done by Anyone

T’ai Chi Chih’s 19 gentle movements and one pose relax your body and quiet your mind. These simple movements strongly circulate and balance the Chi (Life Force) and cultivate good health, longevity, creativity and an internal center of peace from which to move with serenity in the midst of your busy daily life. Based on the same Yin-Yang principles as Tai Chi Chuan, this new form is much easier to learn yet raises the Chi very quickly and strongly. You can do this, regardless of your age or physical ability, just by adapting the movements to your comfortable range of motion.

Accredited Instructor and International Teacher Trainer. T’ai Chi Chih originator Justin Stone said “Pam is one of the best T’ai Chi Chih teachers in the world.” Pam Towne has enthusiastic students throughout the U.S., Canada, and Russia.
